Baalda for teams

One shared brain for the whole team, and for the AI working with it.

Docs, decisions, client notes and meeting notes in one vault everyone edits live. The same plain files your AI assistant reads and writes, with per-file access so shared never means everything is shared.

An example vault

What a teams vault can look like.

A vault is a folder of plain markdown files. Shape it however you work. This is one way to start, and the week below is what a few days in it could look like.

Acme Studio
  • Clients
  • Northwind
  • Brief.md
  • Meeting notes.md
  • Playbooks
  • Onboarding a client.md
  • Decisions
  • 2026-10 Pricing change.md
  • Hiring (private)
  • AGENTS.md
Example layout. Every row is a real folder or .md file on disk.
  1. Mon

Two people write the kickoff notes in the same file, live.

  2. Tue

Claude reads the client brief over MCP and drafts the plan as a new note.

  3. Wed

The decision is linked from the brief, so the backlink shows why.

  4. Thu

A new hire opens the playbook. Hiring stays private to the leads.

  5. Fri

Before a big reshuffle, someone labels a checkpoint to roll back to.

How it works

Three things teams do in Baalda

01

Write it once, together

Meeting notes, briefs and specs are written by several people at once, merged keystroke by keystroke. Nobody owns the master copy because there is only one.

02

Give every AI the same context

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to the vault over MCP. What the assistant writes lands as a markdown note the team can read, edit and link, not a chat transcript.

03

Share the team folder, keep the rest

Viewer and Editor access per file and folder. The client folder can be open to everyone while the hiring loop stays with two people.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How many people can use Baalda for free?

The Free plan covers 2 people and 1 synced vault. The Team plan is $10 per seat a month, or $110 per seat a year, with a minimum of 3 seats and unlimited vaults. Self-hosting the backend is free with no limits under Apache-2.0.

Can two people edit the same note at the same time?

Yes. Edits are merged through a CRDT at the keystroke level, so there is no conflict dialog and no duplicated section.

Can an AI assistant edit our team notes?

Yes, over MCP. The assistant reads and writes the same markdown files, merged as operations rather than whole-file overwrites, and it respects the per-file permissions you set.
